Getting started

Installation

This guide covers the steps shared by every Nova script. For script-specific settings, pick the script from the menu on the left.

Requirements

ComponentVersion
FiveM server artifact7290 or newer
OneSyncEnabled (Infinity recommended)
oxmysql2.7 or newer
ox_lib3.20 or newer
Note

ESX Legacy, QBCore and QBox are detected automatically. Scripts tagged "Standalone" need no framework.

1. Download the script

Sign in and download the latest version from My library. The archive contains a single resource folder with its original name (e.g. nova_hud).

2. Copy it into resources

Extract the archive and move the folder into your server's resources directory. A bracketed category folder keeps things tidy:

bash
resources/
└── [nova]/
    ├── nova_banking/
    └── nova_hud/
Warning

Don't rename the folder. Exports and NUI paths depend on the resource name.

3. Add it to server.cfg

Dependencies must always start before Nova scripts:

cfg
ensure oxmysql
ensure ox_lib
ensure qbx_core # or es_extended / qb-core

ensure [nova]

4. Database

Scripts that use the database create their tables on first start. If you'd rather not, import the bundled install.sql with phpMyAdmin or HeidiSQL.

5. Configure

Each script keeps its settings in a single config.lua. Locale files live in locales/ and are picked with Config.Locale.

lua
Config.Framework = 'auto' -- 'auto' | 'esx' | 'qb' | 'qbx'
Config.Locale    = 'en'   -- 'tr' | 'en'

Updating

  1. Download the new version from your library.
  2. Back up your config.lua before removing the old folder.
  3. Drop in the new folder, copy your config back and add any new options from the changelog.
  4. Restart the server, or run refresh then ensure nova_hud in the console.
Tip

Every release's changelog is published on the product page and in the Discord announcements channel.
